Personal: Postponed!!

Yule tidings & seasons greetings!!

Forgive me I fell off the face of the planet?  I had such great hope and ambitions perhaps too much.  I literally didn't get much further than putting the witches datebook into a Filofax A5 (don't do it!) then having no room for anything else..  Amazing how much a bit of washi tape can bulk up pages!! Then home life, family life, medical life and a whole list of excuses has taken over.  I'll be back to do what I can when I can but sad I need to work on my priorities and life goals. Hmm..

⋆ WW: Beginner "Witches" Study! ⋆

Merry Meet Lovelies!!

Thinking out loud..! So a lady asked me (on my introduction to PPWWMM video I posted on my YouTube @ imogenakamissimoinsane) for some suggestions to books since I had mentioned, at length, about the price tag that comes with doing the Wicca A Year And A Day 366 book due to the shopping list requirements..

I pondered upon what she had asked knowing that when I first started out there was no YouTube and being in the broom closet at that time the only study opportunities I had were the internet... I couldn't really have books (not that I could have afforded them). But armed with that and a printer.. I was able to research, study, write, print out, highlight, make notes and combine all this in plastic document sleeves in 3 rather large and extensive ring binders which I was always swapping and changing and moving things about. - This became somewhat of my first Book of Shadows (BOS).

For the first 2-3 years before I officially started practicing this is what I did, I studied and I studied everything. Armed with a knowledge that not everyone's personal opinion (or their practice) is right but at the same time it's not wrong!! And this is why I class myself as a Witch / Pagan / Eclectic Wiccan - because I take what parts from various walks of life, practices, religions etc and apply what feels right to me to my path and my journey and my practice etc.

While study is something I still do, and pretty much daily, there's always more to be learnt / taught!! So I suggested to her a YouTuber by the name of The Gothic Enchantress of whom did a video called "Tips for beginner witches!!!" and I personally think if you write down every 'key word' she says.. Google and study each word, not only would it be a fantastic starting point for beginners but a great refresh to formed practitioners. - Plus a huge crossover and/or education to not just none witches but to those of pagan and similar faith or interested to learn (more) and those with no knowledge other than the Hollywood Notions of what witchcraft, witches, pagans and occult etc actually is..

Share: Video & Full Credit Goes To YouTuber The Gothic Enchantress - Thank you!!
Video & Full Credit Goes To YouTuber

Task
1. Go grab matterials to be able to jot down notes. Such as a note book and pens / computer, writing software and a keyboard / phone and writing app.
2. Watch the video through at least twice, (perhaps the first time just watch and the second make notes) rewind if you have too, but write down all key words that are said.
3. Make a plan to study these words even if it's only one word a day or one word a week and really focus and research and learn (you may even learn some words or terms you were very confident about their meanings will suprise you!).

I hope that might be of use to you!!

- I'm Starting A New Adventure!!

I'm doing a new Blog / YouTube Series called " Pagan Planner, Witchy Words & Magickal Makes " to find out more see my blog:

⋆ Pre-Introduction: Pagan Planner, Witchy Words & Magickal Makes ⋆

Hey Lovelies and Merry Meet All,

It's Imogen (aka missimoinsane) - For those who don't know me I'm from the England and can I be found on my website at http://www.missimoinsane.webs.com and of course on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/c/Imogenakamissimoinsane - Welcome!!

------

I thought I'd put together a YouTube and blog series in aid to help each other, grow and learn as well as be more active and perhaps even organised.  So this new blog / YouTube series will be based on some of the things in my Witchy / Pagan / Eclectic Wiccan Path or the parts of which I am willing to share (as I do still want to keep, for the most part, my practice sacred and private)..  This new series will be called  "Pagan Planner, Witchy Words & Magickal Makes" (PPWWMM) and will consist of the following themes...

  • Pagan Planner:
I am wanting to put together a planner for myself.  Outside of my Filofax personal and make is an A5 size.  I am wanting to do this as after 12+ years of practice (inc' 2+ out the broom closet) I am doing Wicca 366 A Year And A Day.  While I am not strictly Wiccan.. more Eclectic and taking what works from a multitude of practices to apply to my Witchy..  Pagan.. Spiritual path.

So by putting together a planner like a Filofax, Kikki-K, Paperchase Planner or what ever style of Planner would work best for you - I suggest binder rings or something you can add too even just a regular binder.  I will be looking at building a planner based system that helps me/you keep on top of.. plan and record Ritual, Moon / Celestial Phases, Spells, And generally any and all practice I/you deem fit to include.  This may or may not include a BOS (Book of Shadows) be it full, mini, part, sister, notes, pre-bos (to add to your BOS later) etc etc.  But is aimed around the idea of a Planner system.

I, as mentioned, currently use a Personal Filofax which covers everything Calendar / To Do's / Journal aka Diary / Personal Information and well everything else.  Ranging from Medical stuff, Health, Disability, Plans, Appointments, Dates, Moon Phases, Sabbats, Holidays, Birthdays, Events,  Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Yearly To Do and well you get my point.. its a lot.. so having a separate and dedicated space will work much better but still I will be working on how to incorporate the two (most likely with DIY stickers using sticky labels and stamps or hand drawn images - I will do a tutorial or two on this at a later date).

  • Witchy Words:
A mixture of blogging and vlogging parts of my Witchy / Pagan / Eclectic Wiccan path / journey / experience / thoughts / ideas ... etc.  May possibly include some Thrift Shop Hauls / Hauls leaning towards my practice.  Tips & Tricks, Starter / Low Budget Advice.  Study and Practice.  Adventures and Outings.  And well a whole bunch more.

  • Magickal Makes:
Various tutorials on making things which fall under the "Magickal" banner of being Pagan or Witchy or Wiccan or Druid or Shaman etc etc.  Maybe just simply Gothic, Bohemian, Gypsy inspired stuff etc etc.  But will most likely to be Planner related, Home decor, Altar tools / magick items, Jewellery (which I'll also have on my Etsy) and much more...

Aside from the planner I intend to do DIY on some ideas I have right now in aid to teach you how to design and print your own planner inserts, all you need is a computer and the ability to print documents..  DIY Planner Dividers & Pagemarks.  DIY Pagan Planner Charms (Which I'll also be selling on my Etsy https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/missimoinsane if you're in the UK or contact me if you're outside of the UK but interested.  And/Or see my Facebook page @ https://www.facebook.com/creationsofmissimoinsane).  DIY custom stickers using sticky notes and stamps.  - And so much more..

If any of this appeals to you why not follow this blog and/or me on YouTube or other social media like Insagram https://www.instagram.com/missimoinsane/ I'd also love to hear from you, make friends and you can of course give me ideas for what you wish to see from me or share the things you're doing!!

------
Please note this is my path and my journey.  Everything I say / do I believe in because it's right for me.  In no way am I saying it is correct, the way, the only way and if you do things different you're wrong.  Infact I encourage you to share how you do things...  Not just in practice and beliefs but in your creations magickal and otherwise.

I may also deviate as YouTube is my personal channel it's about me.  So there will be none Witchy / Pagan etc content such as spookyboxclub.com subscription box unboxing videos, regular planner videos, regular craft videos, storage, room/craft space updates etc etc but I'm hoping to be more my Witchy self on my channel.  And of course this blog.

So Merry Meet Again and I look forward to growing and hopefully part of that will be me also growing with you..

Blessed Be, Imogen Xx
